Last night, at about 11pm Central Time, the new Nissan GT-R SpecV was introduced to the world. With it’s black Opaq paint job and new carbon fibre splitter, it’s sure to get some attention.
The color is in fact more like Midnight Purple II (see my blog about Paul’s GT-R for an example) and this new SpecV brings… a lot less to the table, for a lot more. It comes with new RAYS Engineering wheels that slightly resemble TE37s, and the rear seats are gone. Custom NISMO exhaust and a carbon fiber wing set it off. The requisite SpecV badge has been added (in accordance with the long line of previous V-Specs) and no increase in horsepower has been reported thus far. Expect firmer springs, and better handling.
The rarity of this car only sets its beauty off more, with only seven dealers in Japan selling the car.
Wondering what it takes to get into the club? Well, it’s not available in the U.S. (as of yet), but in Japan you’ll have to dig deep and pull out 15,750,000 Yen, which is roughly $173,000 U.S. dollars.
