Equinox: Generous room, smart styling, available all-wheel-drive and confident performance continue to make Chevy Equinox one of the standouts of the compact SUV segment.

The Equinox Sport features a lowered suspension, bold 18-in. wheels, a powerful, 264-hp DOHC engine, backed up by a six-speed automatic with manual tap up/tap down control. Equinox Sport also features hydraulic power steering, a tuned exhaust and unique exterior appointments.

Equinox’s standard safety features include OnStar, StabiliTrak electronic stability control system, four-wheel disc brakes with ABS and tire pressure monitoring system.

The five-apssenger Equinox is one of the few compact SUVs equipped with a standard V6 engine. It is powered by GM’s 3.4-litre V6, rated at 185 hp and 210 lb.-ft. of torque. This durable overhead valve engine is coupled to an electronically controlled five-speed automatic.

A special Team Canada edition Equinox celebrating the upcoming Vancouver games, in addition to Equinox LS’s comprehensive roster of features, includes 17-in. bright chrome-clad aluminum wheels, deep-tinted glass behind front windows, premium cloth trim, cruise control, front and rear carpeted floor mats and extended range remote keyless entry.

Uplander: A crossover sport van for those with multifaceted lifestyles, the Uplander delivers the bold styling of an SUV, the passenger room and interior versatility of a van, and the smooth ride of a sedan.

The front-wheel-drive Uplander is offered in regular- and extended-length body styles, and can seat up to seven passengers. The lineup includes LS and LT models, as well as a commercial-use cargo van.

The Chevy Uplander is powered by a sophisticated 3.9-litre V6 that uses variable valve timing to optimize performance and fuel efficiency while delivering 240 hp, 240 lb.-ft. of torque; a FlexFuel version that’s capable of running on E85 ethanol is available.

Uplander has a long list of standard comfort and convenience features, including air conditioning, power windows and power door locks, tilt-adjustable steering column, and an AM/FM stereo with CD and MP3 player. All radios (except navigation) are now equipped with an auxiliary jack for iPod/MP3 input. With its standard OnStar system, Uplander includes one year of GM’s Safe and Sound service with Turn-by-Turn Navigation.

StabiliTrak electronic stability control system with Traction Control is now standard on all models.
